Our families are always up for a community event - just another reason why it's good to be a Riverbend Raccoon! Thank you, families, for bringing your imaginations and creativity to last Thursday's storytelling family night. Seeing all those dads acting out the tug-of-war, families gathering 'treasure' to create and then finding a cozy place to tell their stories was magical. We are thankful to our School Council for funding this creative residency learning experience.

Whatever your traditions are this weekend, we hope you enjoy some rest, relaxation, the joy of gathering with people you care about and the amazing colours of fall.

School Council Meeting - Thurs, Oct 15, 6:30-8:00pm. 

Please join us for our next meeting, doors open at 6:15pm. All of the new library furniture has arrived, as well as the new Root robots! Come see how your fundraising and volunteer efforts benefit student learning.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser

Our 11th annual cookie dough fundraiser is underway! Order forms and information sheets went home last week and orders are due by November 2nd. This fundraiser is important to our school and enables REPS (Riverbend Elementary Parent Society) to fund requests from the school to support student learning. Please see the information sheet for details on how to submit a single payment on behalf of the orders you collect.

Fun Lunch & Popcorn Recess

This month, Popcorn Recess is Oct 28 (deadline to order is Oct 20), and Fun Lunch is Oct 29 (deadline to order is Oct 21).
