Here are your updates for the week of 27 November 2023:

Thank You

Thank you to all parents/guardians who attended Parent Conferences last Thursday evening and Friday morning. It was great having you in the school to learn more about your child's/children's progress.

Cell Phones

As a school, we are seeing more and more cell phones. Cell phones are to remain in backpacks while at school. Please remind your child/children that they are responsible for any electronic device that they bring to school.

Cookie Dough Updates 

Friday, December 1 is the last day to submit your student’s permission slip for the school wide pizza party on Wednesday, December 6. Kindergarteners too! 

Cookie dough delivery is scheduled for Tuesday, December 5. We will send an email once we are ready for orders to be picked-up, after the truck arrives and cookies are sorted. We will be using the pick-up/drop-off lane, on the north side of the school. Please park elsewhere that day for the safety of students. Orders must be picked up by 5pm.

Veterans Association Food Bank

Beginning Monday, 04 December 2023, Riverbend School will host a food drive to support the Veterans Food Bank. If you can please donate non-perishable food items. Among the items that are required are pet food, assorted canned meats, rice, toilet paper, "Christmas Dinner" items, gift cards and canned pasta. Detailed needs lists will be posted on the school doors. The food drive will run until Monday, 18 December 2023. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause.

Winter Singalong

On Thursday, 07 December 2023, Riverbend School will host a winter singalong. This is an opportunity to come out as a family, sing some familiar songs and enjoy time with other members of our school family. There will be two "seatings" - one at 6:00pm and one at 7:00pm. We ask that you select one as we are aware that our gym can only hold so many! There is no cost for admission although a donation to the food drive would be gratefully accepted!

Non-Instructional Day

Reminder there are no classes on Friday, 08 December 2023.
