Good afternoon Riverbend community!

Here are your updates for the week of 20 February 2024:

• 21 February 2024 - School Council at the school beginning at 6:30pm. 
• 28 February 2024 - Pink Shirt Day. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink. Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when a student in Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. It has since been recognized annually worldwide as a day to stand against bullying.
• Pink Shirt Day encourages Albertans to be inclusive, welcoming and supportive with colleagues, clients, friends and family. Building healthy relationships is one of the best ways to prevent bullying and create safe environments.
• As the temperature alternates between freezing and above freezing, there is significant amounts of ice on the school grounds, sports field and surrounding areas. Please be careful.
• Kindergarten registration is ongoing. Please encourage anyone with Kindergarten-aged students to register their child online. cbe.ab.ca
