Here are your updates for the week of 15 April 2024:
1. School Council: Wednesday, 17 April 2024, beginning at 6:30pm. The meeting is held in the school staffroom.
2. Non-Instructional Day: Friday, 19 April 2024. There are no classes.
3. Grade 6 Outdoor School: Monday, 15 April 2024 until Thursday, 18 April 2024.
4. Spring Concert: Save the Date! Thursday, 16 May 2024, beginning at 6:00pm. Details to follow.
School Council Meeting - Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30pm
We will be discussing the Learning Garden project and making a plan for a Spring clean up of the space. School doors open at 6:15pm. Please review the attached minutes prior. Thank you!
School Council Meeting & AGM - Thursday, May 9 at 6:30pm
Our last meeting of the year and our Annual General Meeting where we elect key positions for the following school year. Please consider volunteering!
Volunteer Roles
Everything we do is thanks to the amazing folks who volunteer to make it happen. Key positions need to be filled for next school year, so please reply if you are interested in learning more about volunteering.
- Secretary - Takes minutes at meetings. Must be present for most meetings. 1-2 hours / month, plus Council meetings.
- Key Communicator - Attends Council of School Councils (COSC) virtual meetings & summarizes communications. 1-2 hours / month, plus Council and COSC meetings.
- Cookie Dough Fundraiser Lead - Manages project, volunteers, and communications. Weekly tasks/involvement September - mid December, peak mid-November.
- Cookie Dough Prizes & Party Planner - Procures prizes with parameters & budget set by REPS, and organizes pizza party and presentation of prizes at school assembly. Weekly tasks/involvement November - early December.
