Last week, students wrapped up the Elev8 Lacrosse residency. By the end of our sessions, students were passing the ball to each other in a full lacrosse game! We appreciate the ongoing generosity of our School Council/REPS for funding these opportunities. 

Since 1999, schools, libraries, literary organizations and other community groups across Canada have taken part in Family Literacy Day. January 26-30 is Family Literacy Week! Click here for more information on how you can participate and here for cross-curricular activity ideas.

Annual Survey from Alberta Education and Childcare 

Every school year, Alberta Education and Childcare surveys students, parents, and teachers to gather feedback on school experiences. This input helps identify what is working well and highlights areas where improvement is needed. 
 

The Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance Survey (AECAS) invites students in grades 4, 7 and 10, along with their parents, to share their perspectives, experiences, and feelings about school.  

If you have a child in grade 4, you will receive an email from CBE in the next week or so with a random access code to complete the survey. Please take the time to do this important survey, as it does provide input to our school development planning each year. If you have any questions about items on the survey, reach out to Mrs. Poole directly. 

This is an important opportunity to have your voice heard!
