February is short, but packed full of great learning activities! Room 5 grade one students have been busy building Riverbend landmarks, which are now on display in our library for their schoolmates to enjoy. Thank you to Ms. Wallace and Mrs. Scott for extending the work we began with Yellow Steps and to all the parents who came to help with the project. We appreciate it!

Sherwood School Open House

Valentine’s Day
We will celebrate "Friendship Day" on Wednesday February 11th. Bringing cards for classmates is optional, however we ask that if students choose to bring cards, they include one for each classmate. We also ask that you do not send any food/candy items.
Volunteering
We will be requesting volunteers for several events throughout the next few months, including a winter sports day, chaperoning swim lessons for grades 1-4, a pancake breakfast, field trips and classroom helpers. If you would like to assist, please make sure you have a current security clearance in place. This does take a few weeks to secure – plan early! To initiate or check the status of a security clearance, please contact Ms. Allen at riverbend@cbe.ab.ca. There is no cost for CBE volunteers to complete this safety check.
