Thank you to those families who are helping out with swimming. We are still in need of more volunteers for this week and the week of April 27-May 1. We are particularly in need of male volunteers, as we have no male staff currently and the boys change room requires supervision. A current security clearance is required.
This week I wanted to talk about Friday attendance. School-wide, there is a significant decrease in Friday attendance in comparison to Monday-Thursdays. Although we refer to Fridays as “half days,” this isn’t really true. Did you know that each of our Fridays is 71% of a full day? This is well over half a day of learning time. Teachers are introducing new concepts and moving forward with curricular outcomes every day, even Fridays!
Happy Education Week to our teaching staff this week!
