Thank you for showing up so many times this week! We had many families join us for our SoundKreations dance assembly, Stampede pancake breakfast, kindergarten orientation and the grade three walk to Sobey’s to see the Calgary Police Service canine unit.
Calgary Peigan MLA Tanya Fir and Trustee Nancy Close visited our 5/6 classes to talk about democracy and government, subjects in the current grade six social studies curriculum. They had great questions for MLA Fir such as, “How are cabinet portfolios decided?” and “What is your backstory to getting into politics?” Grade six students are busy choosing option courses and we even took the city bus to visit Sherwood School for a tour.
Kindergarteners are practicing for grade one by going out for a ‘recess’ break some days and grade fours are anxiously watching their duck eggs for signs they may hatch soon! It’s a busy place here at the end of May!
